The Walk for Literacy
will be rescheduled due to inclement weather!
The TOY Walk for Literacy is an activitiy of the Teacher of the Year Banquet. This event premiers the fun-filled activities planned for years to come. The event was designed to culminate Spring Break as well as to provide an inexpensive means of fun during Spring Break.
It is hosted by Derrick Johnson, #56 of the Kansas City Chiefs,
and ex-cowboy, Kelvin Edwards. Many activities are planned, including the following ... to name a few:
1) a 5K walk around the picturesque Fair Park. 2) a vendor fair for shopping. 3) a health fair to bring awareness to the importance of early detection. 4) a Karaoke Contest with a $600.00 purse. 5) an auction of sports memorabilia. 6) mini job fair. |
This event is open to the public. However, the TOYs, Assistant Principals, and Honorees are Especially Invited to Attend! 200 tickets are available for children under 12. They will be distributed on a first come / first served basis with advanced reservation. |
